Less than two weeks ago, Bateman Construction Corp began working at ASM Research for a 6,000-square foot remodel. The first thing we ran into on this project was the time and noise factor. The project has been expedited to finish in less than a month, all while the facility is open to its workers. Our top priority before commencing the work was to figure out a way to work faster, while making less noise.
Beginning over the weekend while the facility was closed gave us the chance to install temporary walls and sound attenuation so that no workers are disturbed once the facility is open. In one week, all framing was installed with one side of drywall, (leaving one side open to complete the in-wall work) and all the in-wall work was completed and inspected. The remaining side of drywall is currently being installed while the first side is finished, and the paint phase is projected to start by the end of the week. Overall, we are staying on track with the schedule and have projected to complete the project by mid-June.
